Our Supporting Priests

Reverend Father Jacob Palakkaran was born on November 21, 1975. With over 20 years of dedicated service as a priest, he has been a valued member of the Franciscan Community in Rabat, Malta, for the past 7.5 years. Father Jacob has consistently demonstrated his commitment and enthusiasm in supporting our Syro Malabar Community.

Reverend Father Damian Veliyil, born on February 6, 1976, is a priest since 19 years, marked by unwavering commitment and enthusiasm. Currently, he serves as the Assistant Superior of the Franciscan Monastery in St. Paul’s Bay, Malta, and holds the esteemed position of Chaplain to the English-speaking Latin Community. Since arriving in Malta 3.5 years ago, Father Damian has been actively serving the Church, extending his dedication to the needs of the Syro Malabar Community with equal passion and commitment.

Reverend Father Varghese Puthenpurayil, born on November 10, 1982, is a charismatic priest with 15 years of dedicated service. He has been entrusted with the responsibility of overseeing the Gozo zone of our Syro Malabar community for the past year, bringing his charm and leadership to the region.

Fr Thomas Manakuzhiyil OFM (Franciscan) is a very vibrant priest with 21 years of spiritual service hailed from St Thomas Indian province. He is currently serving the OFM Franciscan Province of Malta, specifically being assigned for the migrants from Asia, one among migrant communities across the world. He did his higher studies in family spirituality and generously supporting the St Thomas Syro Malabar Community, Malta
